Athletes Mentors editorial guide · October 26, 2026

↗02Soccer
Navigate selection, roles, and team changes.
↗03Volleyball
Find your voice, on the court and off.
↗04Football
Build perspective beyond the depth chart.
↗05Baseball & softball
Keep one result from defining your week.
↗06Individual sports
Support the person behind the time, score, or ranking.
↗Every sport has room for mentoring
Athletes in hockey, lacrosse, rugby, cricket, rowing, cycling, wrestling, martial arts, cheer, adaptive sports, and other disciplines can use the same selection process. Ask what experience is relevant to your specific setting, including accessibility and communication needs. We group related situations instead of publishing near-identical pages for every sport.
Does my mentor need to play my sport?
It helps when you need perspective on the culture, roles, or pathway. For career choices, study routines, or general life decisions, relevant experience in that area may matter more. For technical instruction, seek a qualified coach in your discipline.
